Privacy Policy
Wealthronic ("we," "us," or "the site") is operated by Juliet Brown as an independent publication. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit wealthronic.com, why we collect it, and what choices you have.
The short version: we collect the minimum we need to run the site, send the newsletter to people who ask for it, and display ads. We do not sell your data. If you have questions, write to us via the contact page.
1. What we collect
1.1 Information you give us directly
If you subscribe to the Wealthronic Weekly newsletter, we collect the email address you provide and, optionally, your name. If you send us a message through the contact form, we collect the name, email, and message body you submit.
1.2 Information collected automatically
When you visit any page on Wealthronic, the following may be logged by our hosting provider and analytics tools:
- The page or URL you visited
- The page that referred you (if any)
- Your approximate location (country and city, inferred from IP address)
- The type of device, browser, and operating system you used
- Pseudonymous identifiers stored in cookies (see our Cookie Policy)
1.3 Information collected by third parties
Wealthronic uses a small number of third-party services that may collect information directly:
- Google Analytics — to measure aggregate traffic patterns. We have IP anonymization enabled.
- Google AdSense — to serve display advertising. AdSense uses cookies to deliver ads based on visits to this and other sites, and may personalize ads where permitted by law and your consent.
- Our email provider — to deliver the newsletter and record open/click events for that newsletter.
2. How we use information
We use the information described above to:
- Send the Wealthronic Weekly to subscribers who have opted in
- Reply to messages you send us
- Understand which articles are read and how readers find them
- Display advertising that funds the site
- Protect the site against fraud, abuse, and technical problems
We do not use this information to make automated decisions that significantly affect you, and we do not profile you for purposes outside running the site.
3. Legal bases (for EU/UK readers)
If you are in the EU, UK, or EEA, our legal bases under the GDPR are: consent (newsletter, optional analytics and ad cookies), legitimate interests (server logs, fraud prevention, aggregate analytics), and contract (delivering the newsletter you signed up for).
4. Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We share data only with: the service providers listed above (analytics, advertising, email delivery); legal authorities if compelled by valid legal process; and any successor entity if Wealthronic is ever sold or merged. In each case we share the minimum needed.
5. Your choices
- Unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of every newsletter email.
- Opt out of personalized ads via Google Ads Settings or YourAdChoices.
- Block cookies using your browser's settings (see our Cookie Policy).
- Request access, correction, or deletion of personal data we hold about you. Email us via the contact page; we respond within 30 days.
- California residents have rights under the CCPA, including the right to know and the right to delete. Submit requests via the contact page.
6. Retention
Newsletter subscriber data is retained for as long as you remain subscribed, plus 30 days after unsubscription for log integrity. Contact form messages are retained for up to two years and then deleted. Server access logs are kept for up to 90 days.
7. Children
Wealthronic is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
8. International transfers
Wealthronic is operated from the EU. Some of our service providers (Google in particular) process data in the United States. Where applicable, transfers are governed by the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and Standard Contractual Clauses.
9. Changes to this policy
We will update this page when we change how we handle personal information. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will also be noted in the newsletter.
10. Contact
For privacy questions, write to us via the contact page with "Privacy" in the subject line.
